FILIPE

Founder & Owner
Filipe was born in Ericeira. At the age of 6 he moved to Lisbon, a city that he knows from east to west. Filipe loves living, travelling and experiencing the world through friendships. Filipe worked as a salesman and an IT programmer, but it was his passion for travelling and for Portugal that lead him to found Different Portugal a travel company in 2011 and Cooking Lisbon in 2013. Both brands aim to provide unique and unforgettable moments to our visitors, or friends as Filipe likes to call them.

RENATA

Chef - Instructor
Born in Brasília, Brazil, Renata moved to Portugal seeking a calmer life with her three children. A Portuguese–English translator by training, she has always had a deep passion for pastry. In Brazil, she ran an online bakery, sharing her sweet creations.
Her journey with Cooking Lisbon began when she arrived in Portugal, where she discovered a new path in the kitchen. Later, she opened her own café, serving her homemade cakes and pastries. After the challenges of the pandemic, Renata returned to Cooking Lisbon, where her love for pastry and teaching continues to delight our guests.
PEDRO

Chef - Instructor
Meet Chef Pedro Ferreira, whose journey from business management to the culinary arts has equipped him with a unique perspective on food. At Cooking Lisbon, Pedro brings his strategic thinking and passion for Portuguese traditions to the kitchen, creating dishes that are both authentic and innovative. His meticulous approach and commitment to excellence ensure a culinary experience that's as enlightening as it is delicious. Join him for a class where traditional flavors meet contemporary technique.
ÂNGELA

Chef - Instructor
Originally from Braga, Ângela studied Fine Arts with a focus on sculpture, where she developed a strong sense of creativity and attention to detail. Over time, her artistic expression found a new canvas — the kitchen. Following her passion for cooking, she worked in several restaurants in Porto, refining her technique and style.
Now based in Lisbon, Ângela joins the Cooking Lisbon team, bringing her artistic background and love for Portuguese cuisine to every dish she creates.
JOANA

Chef - Instructor
Joana, a food lover. Having an entire academic career in the culinary field since a very young age. "Mother" of 2 French Bulldogs who share a lot of photos on social media. Disciplined, focused and with a passion for teaching the most diverse techniques.
FERNANDA

Assistant
Fernanda Pereira has worked in the food sector over the past 20 years. Reserved and focused on her work, her attention to small details makes her a valuable addition to the Cooking Lisbon team. She always ensures that Cooking Lisbon is ready for the next guests.
She is known for her love of cooking and makes the best Rice Pudding in the World!
